Ok, so, this is my FIRST attempt at fanfiction, so hopefully you like it 
I've been reading the others on here, and I love them. So you've inspired me to try it myself

Season 6 begins, and Lindsay has been shot. She is in the hospital.
The team (Mac, Stella, Flack & Hawkes) sits anxiously in the waiting room...
Danny comes from around the corner, and Stella, Flack & Hawkes stand to their feet.
...everyone is completely silent, waiting for Danny to say something.
Danny: “She’s going to be okay... She’s in recovery now, and she’s resting”
Stella: “Oh Danny, thank God!” – she runs to Danny and hugs him.
Hawkes puts a hand on Flacks shoulder, Flack (with a tear in his eye) manages to give a half smile, he walks to Danny and gives him a hug.
Stella now walks over to Mac who has barely spoken 2 words since they got there, he is sitting down, staring at the floor.
“Mac...?” stella says softly.
“Oh, right, sorry” Mac says as he stands up and hugs Stella.
“What is it Mac?”
“oh, its nothing, I’m just glad Lindsay is okay”
--Stella is not convinced its ‘nothing’ but lets it go for now.
Danny: “Ok you guys, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you staying here with me, but its really late, and you should all go home and get some sleep. I’m going to stay here with Linds. Lucy is with her grandmother, and I don’t want you guys to worry okay? You’re going to need your rest because tomorrow you have to figure out who the cowards are that did this to my wife.”
Everyone nods their heads in agreement. Stella hugs Danny again and says she will come by in the morning and and check in.
Mac quietly goes to Hawkes and asks him to drive Flack home. He is worried about Flack and the emotional stress he is under. Hawkes agrees that is a good idea.
Mac tells Stella she will get a ride with him. Everyone leaves.
--The ride home, Mac is silent, but has an intense look on his face the whole time.
“So, are you going to tell me?” Stella asks.
“What? Tell you what?”
“Come on Mac. I’ve known you over 10 years, I know when something is bothering you, and I know that its more than you’re letting on. ...And where are you going? My apartment is that way...”
“You’re not going to your apartment” Mac said in a somewhat stern voice
“Ok then... where might I be going, and why can’t I go home?”
“You’re going to my place, because you’re not safe at home.”
“Not safe?” Stella sounds confused. “where is this coming from? What aren’t you telling me?”
Mac doesn’t respond.
...They pull into Mac’s driveway, and Mac gets out of the truck. “Come on.”
Stella, still rather confused shakes her head for a second, lets out a sigh and says “ok...”
Mac opens the front door for Stella, she goes inside and he waits at the door for a few moments, looking out into the pitch black street.
“Mac?”
“Yeah. “ He shuts the door behind him and locks it. “You can stay in my room, I’ll sleep on the couch. Then in the morning we can stop at the hospital on the way to the lab. If you need anything let me know”
Mac drops his keys on a table, takes off his jacket and sits on the couch. “... good night”
Stella, still standing in the hallway with a baffled look on her face finally pipes up “MAC! Are you going to tell me what I’m doing here? What is with you?”
Mac, again with his head down “look, we’ve had a very long and stressful night, I think its best we just get some sleep”
“Why are you giving me orders like my boss instead of talking to me like your friend?! Look at me Mac. Look at me!”
Mac finally looks up at Stella, with a concerning look in his eyes.
“Mac...” stella says softly, and sits down beside him on the couch. “What is it?”
Mac shakes his head, “I don’t know Stella, I just.... I just don’t know. Somethings not right, this doesn’t feel like a coincidence.”
“How do you mean”
“Well, first Angell, and now Lindsay. Both victims are female and members of my team”
“Mac, you don’t think---“
Mac cuts her off “Its all I can think about!” Mac is up on his feet now and pacing the floor. “What would I do Stella, what would I do? If something happened to you, if you got hurt...”
Stella is standing behind Mac now. “Mac... come on” Stella says in a reassuring tone.
“... Just... Good night Stella”
“No!” Stella says, now angry. “You don’t get to just shut me out and tell me its my bed time, okay? I know you’re trying to protect me but come on Mac”.
“Just... just go to sleep Stella, I can’t talk about this tonight. We just need to get some sleep.”
Stella storms off into Mac’s room and closes the door. She leans with her back against the closed door and looks up at the ceiling. She mutters something in greek and turns out the light.
An hour has gone by, and Mac is lying on the couch, wide awake, staring at the clock. He finally gets up and walks to his bedroom. He slowly opens the door and pokes his head in to check on Stella, who is sitting at the edge of the bed staring at the wall in front of her.
“You can’t sleep either huh?” Mac says as he swings the door open and leans against the doorframe.
Stella just looks at Mac with a slight smirk, shrugs her shoulders and then looks back at the wall.
“Look, Stell...”
“I know” Stella says softly, nodding her head. “I know you’re stressed out, and you’re worried”
Mac sits down beside her on the bed and puts his head in his hands. “What are we gonna do?”
“WE are going to find these guys and let the justice system handle the rest” She says as she puts her hand on his shoulder.
Mac sits quietly, a million thoughts running through his head...
“I’m gonna be fine” Stella says with a smile as she puts her hand on Macs. “Come on, I’ve got Mac Taylor to protect me. What more could a girl ask for?”
Mac finally looks up at her and grins. “You’ll always have me to protect you”
“I know” Stella says, now with a tear in her eye.
Mac smiles at Stella, puts his hand on her face and wipes the tear away with his thumb.
Stella puts her hand on top of Macs and lets out a quiet laugh.
“We really should get some sleep you know” Mac says
“Yeah, I guess you’re right, long day ahead of us”
“Good night Stell”
“Good night Mac. And thank you” she says with a smile, and another tear running down her cheek.
“you’re welcome” he kisses her forehead and notices the tear on her cheek and kisses it away. “You okay?” he asks, now leaning his forehead against hers.
“mmm hmm. Yeah, i’m fine", she nods her head
“ok”, his hands still holding onto her face. “good night” he gives her a quick peck on the lips. He looks at her and smiles, and they gaze into eachothers eyes for a brief moment.
“Mac... don’t go, okay? Will you just stay with me for a bit?”
“Ok” he puts her head on his shoulder and smiles down at her. She puts her hand in his and smiles back. He stares at her for a few seconds then leans down and starts kissing her softly on the mouth.
Stella is caught off guard, and after a few seconds pulls away as a shocked reaction.
Mac stands up and turns away towards the door.
“Mac, wait!” Stella gets up from the bed. Mac turns around and and watches Stella as she walks towards him. They stand face to face, not saying a word. It feels like an eternity in a single moment for both of them. Mac stares into her eyes, waiting for her to say something. Anything. Finally Stella puts her hand on Macs chest and gazes up at him. Mac wraps his arms around her and kisses her again. Emotions are pouring out as they stay locked in the passionate kiss. Stella grabs the back of Mac’s head with her hands to keep him close. The room is still dark, and Mac starts walking towards the bed, never letting go of Stella, who is now slowly un-buttoning his shirt as she walks backwards toward the bed.
...and the screen fades to black.
